Game testing feedback

We managed to get a large group of people to do Game testing that really worked well for us and we were able to get some good feedback.

Product Design Testers

Nathan Williams

  • I liked the width of the track lots of variation
  • Needs collisons
  • A.I needs to be faster
  • Keep falling over on the volcano
  • Directional arrows are needed in some areas got lost in the trees
Joshua Lomax
  • No need to break as you turn the dinosaurs tips or slows down
  • Directions
  • More challenging in the breaking
  • Maybe more Bumps in the track
  • More fun in the corners
Student A
  • Directional arrows would be helpful perhaps explanation on the degree of turning
  • Speed feels good
  • Handling still very good - no real need for the brake
  • Re spawning below scenery
  • Different textures for roads
  • Enjoyed dodging grass planes (hazards)
  • Drove up the hill and fell in the hole at the top


First Year Testers

Chantelle Hillman

  • Runs smooth
  • Some places where you can get stuck
  • Good handling but not as easy as you turn and slow down
  • Easy to get the other dinosaur stuck
Ben Long
  • Runs fine
  • Needs more of a feeling of speed - Dynamic
  • More players/AI so it will seem more competive
  • Physics are quite floaty maybe reduce them slightly so the characters don't fly off
  • It play like a racing game which is good, level design is well made
Dan Gates
  • Game flows well
  • Handling maybe too good
  • Speed is good
  • Needs good texturing for easier navigation
David Williams
  • Collision is non existent with most of the level
  • Speed on the speedometer isnt indictavie of the speed of the dinos
  • The difficulty of the track is unpredictable
  • You can play the entire track while never letting go of the accelerator except for the one corner at the top of the hill
  • Dino's are top heavy making it very easy to tip over
  • Movement speed is perfect it feel really nice

Student B

  • Speed = Good
  • Turning speed needs slow down
  • Environment has good guidance
  • Slight camera shake may help emphasize weight when running animation is put in
  • FOV- immersive as speed increases
  • Multiplayer = great idea
  • Lower amount of cubes
  • AI recovery is great

Student C

  • Good speed
  • Never felt lost narrow turn at volcano to be changed 
  • Liked the map
  • Control mapping felt weird
  • Good checkpoint spacing
