Damaged Hard Drive + Easter Targets
Okay so after the 2nd Viva I was preparing to back up my hard drive and it got knocked/pulled over.
So in short I can no longer access my hard drive with Jurassic Kart on it.
However! All is not lost, (somewhat) I have a back up, albeit probably a few months out of date.
I have managed to recover model files via temp autosave folders etc.
Textures have backups save Bugsy, his was non recoverable however it was a simple one and can easily be redone. The other new characters don't have textures yet.
Targets over Easter

Good footsteps are remarkably hard to find as such I'm not really happy with the ones we have especially Rex i don't think it suits him at all. so these will be placeholders until i can find some better ones

Fixing turn anims
Walkthrough:
You need to do a cast to the player to get the vehicle movement to get the is falling bool, is falling pawn won't work because a vehicle isn't a pawn (if it was the AI would be a lot easier)
In the character blueprint on steering input set a float value. This float will range from -1 to 1 by default so it's super easy to set up the blend space. Have left turn be -1 and right turn be 1 and it'll do the appropriate amount of turning whenever the player hits the thumbstick.

Identify QA + bug hunt
Bug hunt - get people to spin the characters, run into every wall, run into dinosaur basically everything
QA - get people to play and see what could be improved or changed
THESE TWO MUST BE TWO SEPARATE GROUPS
High Priority (as in done two weeks from now)
-Game is an executable (if victory plugin causes problems either solve or get rid of it and find another way to do what you need says John)
-HUD must consist of the following Lap, Lap time and position (mini map is optional for now)
-Reverse needs to change from holding B to Left trigger
-Sound effects (team meeting to decide who should do that)
-The game absolutely needs to have an end
Adam - Jules says you've done something stupid with the textures for the checkers and he'll tell you more Monday. The clouds were in keeping with the style
Rhys- Jules needs to see a video of you going all the way round the track to be convinced that the checkpoint bug is fixed, also you need to move the last checkpoint closer to the finish line because the game finishes well a bit before the finish line. they were happy you got the menu to work with the controller
that's all i can remember but they'll probably go though it again monday

Update to the start finish line.
I have an issue when trying to add Opacity to the this texture below, because i have to paint it onto the landscape, the texture as to be within the landscape material in unreal. However, I am unable to add the opacity mask because it then adds it to the whole of the landscape, removing all of the textures. I just need to find a way to add the Opacity mask to just that one texture but still have it incorporated within the landscape.
Also have this weird shadow across 1/3 of the skybox, Pretty sure it has something to do with the Skylight, but everything I tried to fix it didn't do anything, This is after I rebuilt my lighting,
